VOCABULARY: Makeup
CLASS DISTRIBUTION: groups of 2 people
PROCEDURE: 1. Start with a simple question: y "What do you emeber about makeup in the last worksheet?" Explain that makeup can be fun and is used for different reason. 2. Explain each section in simple terms. 3. Recap the new words learned today. Ask students what their favorite part of the lesson was and why.
Feedback: Praise students for creativity and correct use of English and pronunciation words during activities. Offer gentle corrections as needed.
HOMEWORK: Ask students to bring a picture of a costume in which makeup is necessary. They should be ready to describe one or two makeup items they see in the costume using the words learned in the worksheets

  1. During this activity, we had the chance to reflect about the importance of material design. We realized that designing material for little kids is much more than just selecting colorful or appealing visual resources; it is (or should be) a thoughtful process in which, as teachers, we should find a balance between skills development and engaging tools.

    Regarding the task itself, it was challenging for us to follow the necessary steps to have the material as an offline resource. Nevertheless, besides being a challenge in terms of the process steps, it was also an opportunity to ask ourselves if maybe we are used to relying too much on the internet. In general terms, it was a good exercise since it allowed us to perfect our designing skills based on the first worksheet experience, and it also allowed us to think about the attitudes and habits that we have had throughout our professional development.
